Don't You Forget About Me

I had so much fun with this photoshoot. This outfit I actually just wore tot he shoot, and we decided to go ahead an start shooting in it. This look reminds me completely of the '90s; specifically John Bender from The Breakfast Club with his loose clothing, layers, denim jacket, and plaid pairing. This look felt so easy and comfortable, but still stylish. Pairing it with the brown lipstick was just like the 90s' cherry on top! ha

Boyfriend Jeans And Blue Lips!

Boyfriend jeans are a huge trend for spring/summer 2014! I struggled finding a pair that fit me perfectly so guess what... i bought actual boys' jeans! lol. Seen here I'm wearing light wash destroyed Men's skinny jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch paired with my cali crop top from Love Culture, and I've accessorized with my Python printed Michael Kors purse, gold knuckle rings from Aldo, and blue lipstick ("DGAF") from Melt Cosmetics. Boyfriend jeans are super comfortable and easy to just throw on with any outfit for a relaxed look. Chic it up by adding some heels and lipstick like i did! They should be fun and easy to wear. Play around with the styles you like best and find what works for you! <3

Snow Patrol

I can't believe i forgot to post these! Ahh, haha. These photos were taken courtesy of Brian from Platinum Entertainment back in January when we had a nice bit of snow in Virginia Beach! My dog got to play in it a little while we took these pre-shots to the photo shoot we were doing that day (as seen in a previous post). He was so cold I just had to pick him up!

Back And Forth

I meant to upload days agp, but Blogger kept giving me an error every time I tried to post.. Anyway, Things on the to-do list for that day (Mar 26) were taxes and babysitting, so I opted for this relaxed outfit: leggings under vintage high-waist denim, socks w/ combat boots, and a loose sweater. The weather is still chilly here, but not entirely cold so I felt comfortable without a coat, and a teensy bit of midriff showing. When it gets warmer I will definitely try this look sans leggings, thick socks, and a beanie, and instead sport a flowy ruffled top with these shorts.

Bits And Pieces

Hello again, dolls! I finally got around to shooting a new video for my youtube channel, so stay tuned! Today i had a chance to wear the high waist shorts i cut out of vintage denim i thrifted (see previous post). Finally getting to wear them made me happy because it means the weather is moving closer and closer to summer! ^_^ I paired them with tights, since it's still cool enough to wear them, cognac combat boots, and my favorite coral sweater. I accessorized with chunky gold piece (i.e. the chain, and my claw cuff). You can alter this look by pairing your own high waist pieces with a flowy crop top and cute sandals for a beachy/girly look! Tailor this look by adding a quater-sleeved blazer (try fun colors for spring like green, or magenta), and pointed-toe heels.

Until next time!

Highway Unicorn

I've been really into cute ways to protect my hair lately ever since I began my journey on going natural (growing my hair out w/o relaxers). I picked up this scarf from my job (Charlotte Russe) and i love wearing it whenever i'm having a lazy hair day, or if it's rainy.

I paired it with my black skin tight high waist jeggings from Nasty Gal, Roxie cutout wedges by Jeffrey Campbell (better photo below), crop top, over-sized white cardigan, and of course my Lipstick Of The Month of February: MAC's Candy Yum Yum. Check out the video on this lipstick and makeup tutorial on my youtube channel if you haven't already:

Work hard, play harder.

Hello hello again, loves. Another post so soon?? YES :) I'm trying to get int he habit of posting outfits more often. Yes, i'm featuring my heart print garter tight again! I promise i didn't wear the twice this week, haha. The 'Tough Love' post was late (i actually wore that outfit last week), but yes, here are these darling tights again. This time, featured on a more playful outfit. I was very primped last week. Today I just felt like dressing playfully. I pulled this look out of my closet without a care in the world, and that is what I love most about it!

featured:

garter tights
wedged sneakers (Sole Struck)
pink high waisted shorts
leopard heart sweatshirt (Charlotte Russe)
black bandana (Tilly's)

Roxie In Red

Roxie made an appearance for the 2nd time this week on friday for the Operation: Smile holiday charity party me, and the other seniors in the fashion program at The Art Institue of Virginia Beach hosted. We've been stressed out planning this event all quarter long, and finally, we got to see it come to life. Glad to say, the event was a success! We raised $3,058 to donate towards Operation: Smile! That's about 13 surgeries for kids with cleft palettes or cleft lips. That really makes me warm for the holidays.

This outfit features:
Chanel-style jacket & brass knuckle purse from Love Culture
Corset top & scarf from Charlotte Russe
Red skater skirt from Wet Seal
Shoes by Jeffrey Campbell
